Moving!

So, I am moving and will leave this blog up.

I have struggled with this blog and  what to do with it. I have several decent recipes here and will continue to leave it up. Right now, I am doing a lot of repeat cooking (same thing served every two weeks) and fairly easy stuff. So I created a Tumblr account to show what we are having everynight. I will include links to recipes if needed.

Supper wasn’t that hot…

We have been having really simple meals. Still.

Between the gas prices, rent, debt, bills, and groceries-we are keeping our heads just above water.

I know we’re not the only ones. And right now I am grateful we don’t have kids. Don’t get me wrong, I want a bundle of joy. I am just glad I am not trying to buy diapers and stuff with what we got coming  in.

We are going to try Angel Food Ministries this month. For our neck of the woods it’s $30 due by the 15th or so of this month. Pick up on the last Saturday of the month. This month’s menu includes. Marie Callender’s® Family Crock Pot Dinner (Meat Included), Boneless Pork Filet, Breaded Chicken Chunk, Beef Fajitas are some of the meat in this month’s menu. Pasta Sauce, peas and carrots, and Hawaiian punch along with some other items. It’s not based on need, although food stamps are accepted, and the locations are usually churches. Seems like a deal so we’re gonna give it a try.

I still haven’t made it to a farmer’s market yet…need to remedy that. I need some fresh tomatoes!!!
